De Concertation Meeting on Monitoring and Control for Energy Efficiency, op 21 oktober 2008 in Brussel, toont welke EU-gefinancierde projecten in het domein van Monitoring and Control bijdragen aan energie-efficiëntie. Het breder raam wordt opgezet aan de hand van lezingen op uitnodiging door het bedrijfsleven.
De focus zal liggen op bijdragen tot een verbeterde energie-efficiëntie
- by increasing the level of awareness and intelligence in individual objects (smarter, energy-aware objects),
- by networking and exploiting the aggregate knowledge made available, involving various levels of distributed control/cooperation amongst increasingly heterogeneous objects, and
- by optimising the end-to-end use of resources, namely of energy, across processes, taking into account total input (materials and energy) and total output (products and waste).
Door deze focus worden afgedekt:
- sensing/monitoring, understanding, modelling/simulating, decision (reaction/adaptation), learning/evolution, actuation/control to optimise distributed processes, be they Industrial, Business or Plant;
- vehicles or traffic;
- Buildings and Homes; and even
- large-scale Critical Infrastructures.
De agenda groepeert volgende toepassingsgebieden: processes, automotive and aeronautics, homes and buildings, en power grid.
Deelname is gratis. Registreren is verplicht.
